Naturally brewed Japanese Miso with a twist, Clearspring Organic Japanese Chickpea Miso is made to a delicious non-soya recipe by third-generation producers in Nagano using the same traditional Japanese methods as Clearspring Organic Brown Rice Miso.

Organic, non-GMO, fermented, live, unpasteurized, and suitable for vegans, it delivers a smooth, rich flavor that perfectly balances the nutty-sweet flavor of chickpeas with the umami-rich flavor of traditional miso. It is also incredibly versatile. It can be used to make miso soup, stews, casseroles, dressings or used as a seasoning or glaze.

Usage

Use just like other misos to make miso soup and enrich the flavour of stews and sauces. Dissolve in a little water then add towards the end of cooking.
