    Solaray® 5-HTP is made with Griffonia Seed Extract and standardized to contain 100mg of 5-HTP in every serving. Thought to enhance the synthesis of serotonin in the brain, this supplement may help support more restful sleep and relaxation and includes Vitamin C and Vitamin B-6 that play an important role in better sleep quality and duration.

    Vitamin B-6 is the cofactor for enzymes that convert L-tryptophan to serotonin and Vitamin C catalyzes the hydroxylation of tryptophan to serotonin. Each VegCap is enterically coated to enable the capsules to bypass enzymes in the stomach which would convert L-5-HTP to serotonin prematurely (before reaching the central nervous system).
